Count Your Lucky Star at Paper Issues

Happy Monday! I'm back from a girls weekend with my sisters and my mom. We had an amazing time shopping, eating, and getting lots of laughs!
One of my favorite parts of our trip was a visit to the American Crafts offices/warehouse. It was amazing to see how things work behind the scenes. There warehouse is huge! I got to meet so many amazing people and even peeked in on a meeting about upcoming collections. The whole building was filled with inspiration. I left there so inspired and exited about what I learned! I think learning about what goes on behind the scenes will help me to do a better job! My sister-in-law snapped this photo just as we were leaving.
It's not a great photo but I'll take it. (I should have taken my big camera though.)

Before I left I created a fun project for the latest issue at Paper Issues. There's a new issue starting today! It's all about Counting your Lucky Stars. I used tons of stars on this project from Bella's Lucky Stars Collection, the March Swag bag from Paper Issues, my Silhouette, and THIS font from Lori Whitlock. Lori is sponsoring this issue so if you link your project HERE you'll be entered for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate to Lori's store.

When I sketched this page out I didn't intend to have anything behind the photos. When I got the photos and stars on the background The photos seemed to get lost in the business of the stars and strips. I added a strip of patterned paper behind the photos but I didn't like the look of that either so I decided to do a water color wash with gelatos. I love how it made my photos stand out but it's not overwhelming either.
Thanks for stopping by, I so appreciate it! If you have any questions please let me know! I love hearing from my readers! Have a great Monday!

Inspired by Pinterest with Bella Blvd

I have a confession to make. I do not have a single photo related to St. Patrick's Day. Not one single photo. I've made a note to change that this year. So, when I was given this image to use as inspiration for my Bella Blvd assignment, I was a little nervous.

I finally came to the conclusion that I would use "kiss me" as the title of my layout and add a few splashes of green. I had adorable photos of my nieces giving each other a kiss through the safety gate at the top of my stairs. I am thrilled about how this project came together!

What do you think? Isn't the Molly collection just perfect? I love the bright colors and the fun little elements. The little foxes are my favorite. You'll be seeing me use those a lot!

And here's the finished project:
Thanks for visiting me today!  Have a great Thursday!

February Re-cap with Elle's Studio

Hey there, I'm here to share a couple more projects with you from Elle's Studio. This first project is a recap of February. We had a busy month at our house. I wanted to document a bit of the craziness.

And here's the completed layout. It's a very simple design with lots of journaling and 3 photos. Although you could use a lot more photos in the same amount of space.
The second project is a layout all about me. I have the camera to my kids to change things up a bit and had them take a few photos of me. The journaling was simple. I just filled out one of the Elle's Studio pre-made journaling cards.

And here's the final project. I completed the layout with some machine stitching in a few places. It adds a lot of texture and detail.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great Tuesday!

Elle's Studio March Reveal

Are you awake? I am but I'd rather be sleeping. This time change is rough, especially for the little ones. My littles will be in rough shape for a few days. I do love the the longer days though. It will be wonderful to have a little more daylight.

We've been busy over at Elle's Studio working with the March kit. I decided to shake things up a bit and create a mini album about my day to day routines and activities. I was inspired by THIS project by Jen Gallacher. I adore Jen, I was able to meet her a few years ago. She's a beautiful, amazing woman! I so admire her and her work.

Elle's Studio March Kit is for sale HERE. This kit has so many wonderful little bits, perfect for everyday projects or for spring projects. Here's the album I created:

Wait, it's March?

I missed the memo, March is here already? This year is flying by! Today I'd like to share with you a few layouts that I created with the Paper Camellia March Kits. There are so many amazing little bits and pieces in these kits. (I used the main kit and the add on).

This layout is about my silly niece. She makes me laugh! I love the age she's at. Just starting to play games and talking.

This project is created with just the add on:

And here's the layout I created with the bits and pieces I had left over from both kits. There is so much in these kits I still have TONS left! (this one is my personal favorite of the 3)

Get over to Paper Camellia and get your kit before they are sold out. Hurry!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Darling Photos {mini album tutorial}

Good morning! Happy Wednesday! I hope you are well and making it through the work week. Things are going well here. Spring is on it's way, I just know it's coming! I went to yoga class last night, one of my classmates was telling me that her tulips are just starting to come up. I'm so excited for warmer weather.
Yesterday, I had a tutorial on the American Crafts Blog. I created a mini album using the Plus One collection. I will admit that this project did give me a grey hair...or maybe two, but it was so worth it! I adore the finished product and so does my little lady.
Here are a few photos and then you can hop over to the AC blog and get all the details HERE.

Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions about my mini album or my creative process. Just click on the "contact me" button on the right. I'd love to chat with you and answer any questions!
