Baby Boy and Baby Girl Card Sets

How good are you at gift giving? I'm not that good, especially when it comes to baby gifts. I never have a card on hand and I hate paying for a card. So, I decided I would make a bunch of baby cards some for baby boys and some for baby girls.

I created all of these cards with the My Baby collection from Imaginisce. This collection is divided into two sections one section with shades of blue and one section with shades of pink.

Let's start with the baby boy cards:

These cards are super simple. I just mixed and matched the pre made elements from the collection.

And here are the baby girl cards...

Now, next time I need a baby gift I have a card ready to go.

One of *Those* "Mommy Moments"

I remember the moment I took this photo so clearly. We were at a baseball game and the weather was finally nice enough that we could venture out of the car to watch the game. My two little kiddos ran out on the grass with a book and sat down.
My little girl started reading to my little guy and I had one of those nostalgic "mommy moments" where I thought, "They're growing up too fast!"
I documented these thoughts with the Plus One collection by Amy Tan for American Crafts. (aren't those black thickers amazing?!?!)

I outlined the hearts with a black pen and put foam adhesive underneath a few of them.
And here's the completed project:

Make Your Kids Do the Work for You

Recently my little lady has started writing in cursive. She practices her cursive writing at every chance she gets. My pens are constantly missing and I need to go buy more notebooks. She LOVEs writing. While I was working at my desk and she was sitting next to me writing away I decided to pass the journaling card to her.

I love the authenticity it adds to my scrapbooking and I love that she can be involved in my creative process.

Do you involve your kiddos in your scrapbooking?
Thanks for stopping by today! I love hearing from my readers! Let me know if you have any questions or comments!

Get Your Game On

Good Morning! Spring has finally arrived in Idaho and that means little league season. We spend hours and hours every week at baseball games and practices. As a mom I'm sure you know where I'm coming from. Last season was a little bit rough for my little man. This year seems to be shaping up much better. I'm so excited for him he's been playing first base and pitcher. He's having so much fun! When he's pitching my heart seems to jump into my throat. I know he feels a huge amount of pressure and I feel it too. I'm so proud of him!

I created a layout using one of my favorite photos from last year. I love the look of concentration on his face.

I used lots of bits and pieces from American Crafts on this project from the DIY collection, Polka Dot Party, the Plus One collection, and even a little bit from the Cut & Paste Collection.

I can't seem to complete a project that doesn't have some kind of ink splattered on it lately, I love ink!
Does your family spend hours and hours on the baseball field or do you spend hours and hours at another sport or activity? How do you document it in your scrapbooks?

Today it's all about Pitch Perfect. Not just the movie but anything related to the title...so baseball, singing, pitching a tent, pitching something in the trash, or being a perfectionist. Lawn Fawn is sponsoring this issue and are providing an adorable stamp set to one lucky winner. All you have to do to enter for your chance to win is to link your project HERE.

I got the chance to play with this adorable stamp set.

Elle's Studio and Therm-o-web

When Elle asked if we wanted to team up with Therm-o-web I was so excited. I'm always on the look out for amazing adhesives. Adhesive is kind of a big deal in a scrapbookers world ;)
Until a few weeks ago I had very limited experience with Therm-o-web and their amazing products. I fell in love with them one by one when I pulled each new product out of the box. I adore the glitter photo corners and the Sticky Tape Mini Runner. The mini tape runner is the perfect size and is a great adhesive. I will be throwing it in my bag for my next crop!

Now, lets get to the project I created...
I'm guessing that most of us have a terrible photo that's taken with your phone in terrible lighting. Well, here's mine! A photo taken late at a night in a fast food restaurant with my sisters and myself isn't exactly a photo that's going to be hanging on my living room wall, but I did want it my scrapbook because it has a great story behind it.

I cut the title with my Cameo and added lots of foam squares on the back to make it pop off the page.
The journaling is hidden on this project. I created a pocket on the back of the black paper using a piece of scrap paper and double sided sticky tape from Therm-o-web.

And here's my completed project. What do you think? Have you used a not so good photo to tell a story? I'd love to hear about it!

Paper Camellia April Kit

Today is the day Paper Camellia revealed the April kit. This was such a fun kit to work with. This is the first layout I created using the main kit. These boys were very reluctant for me to take their photo...they were a little embarrassed. They are in middle school and way too cool to have their picture taken.
I went a little crazy with my sewing machine on this project. I didn't do a lot of embellishing because the back ground is so bold. I decided machine stitching was a good way to add some texture without adding to the busyness of the page.

I created this little mini album with the Oh Boy add on kit
There are a lot of elements in this kit with the Boy's Rule collection by Crate Paper. I triple heart this collection. With 2 little guys in my house I'm always excited for a really great boy's line.
Here's the cover of the mini album. The rest of the album will be on the Paper Camellia  blog (and here) in a few days. Stay tuned....

This layout I created using both kits. I decided to create a layout all about me and about being a mom. Things have been busy around our house and I'm trying to keep things in perspective...I am a mom, first and foremost!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog! It means the world to me. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. I love the little bits of love from my readers.
